The Pilgrim assumes Ihram for Umrah during the Hajj months saying \u201cLabbayk for Umrah with release until Hajj\u201d. After completing the Tawaf and Sa\u2019i of Umrah and cutting the hair, he\/she is released from Ihram and all its restrictions. Then on the 8th of Dhul-Hijja he\/she assumes again Ihram for Hajj from his \/her place residence. He\/she is required to offer a sacrifice of a sheep. The Prophet instructed his companions to perform \u201cTamattu\u201d<\/p>\n Umrah followed by Hajj which requires the sacrifice of a sheep: \u201cLabbayk for Umrah and Hajj\u201d. The Pilgrim intends one Ihram for both Umrah and Hajj saying \u201cLabbayk for Umrah and Hajj\u201d. You must stay in the state of ihram even after performing sa\u2019ye until the \u201cday of sacrifice\u201d which is the 10th day of Dhul-Hijjah. Hajj alone which does not require the sacrifice of a sheep: \u201cLabbayk for Hajj\u201d. The Pilgrim performs \u201cTawaf Al-Qudom and Sa\u2019i for Hajj, remaining in Ihram until the Hajj rites are completed. He is not required to acrifice a sheep.
